Summer 2024 Internship Stipend Program Fact Sheet

Internship funding for Summer 2024 will be on a rolling basis starting in February 2024, with the last applications being accepted in May 2024, funding permitting.

The proposed timeline is as follows:

February 2024

  • Applications accepted Feb 1st – Feb 21st, 2024
  • Stipends will be announced on Feb 28th, 2024, via email

March 2024

*If stipend money is available

  • Applications accepted March 1st – March 21st, 2024
  • Stipends will be announced on March 28th, 2024, via email

April 2024

*If stipend money is available

  • Applications accepted April 1st – April 21st, 2024
  • Stipends will be announced on April 29th, 2024, via email

May 2024

*If stipend money is available

  • Applications accepted April 24th – May 10th, 2024
  • Stipends will be announced on May 17th, 2024, via email

Eligibility:

  1. Must have a guaranteed internship at the time of application.
  2. Must exemplify a need for a stipend.
  3. Internship duration must be at least eight weeks with a minimum of 30 hours a week and meet NACE’s definition of an internship.
  4. You must include a signed and dated copy of your internship contract or offer letter from your internship supervisor.
  5. A FAFSA application must be filed with the Financial Aid Office. *This does not apply if you are an international student.
  6. Applicants must not have simultaneous funding from other programs, such as Summer of Service funding from the Bonner Scholars Program or research grants.
  7. Must be enrolled as a student during the internship period (you cannot have graduated).
  8. Internship must help you better understand the type of industry you would like to pursue post-graduation.

2024 STIPENDS RANGE FROM $1000-$2500

The Wofford Career Center will partner with the Financial Aid Office to define a financial need, primarily using information students provide on their FAFSA.

Students not receiving a stipend will be allowed to update their application and re-enter the next month. The Career Center reserves the right to close the application process before May, depending on the amount of stipend money available. If students lose or choose not to participate in their internship, they are expected to return the funds to Wofford. The student must be enrolled at Wofford College for the duration of their internship to receive the funding.
