Position Summary
The Idealist Action Incubator is a free virtual program that offers one-on-one guidance and community support to help U.S. and internationally based participants take the first step toward implementing their community action idea. Participants receive support through individualized coaching sessions and weekly community chats, where they engage with each other in a collaborative learning space.
We are currently seeking a creative and dedicated intern to assist in creating informative and engaging content designed to provide our community with information, ideas, and actionable tips for starting and continuing community actions. The ideal candidate will work with the program manager to plan, create, and implement content such as small articles, blogs, and resource documents for distribution to program participants and applicants.
Responsibilities:
Research and write articles, create tip guides, and other resource documents about topics related to taking community actions.
Assist with curating resources and participants’ success stories, which will be shared in a quarterly newsletter and email journeys with program participants and applicants.
Brainstorm and propose future content ideas that align with program, participant, and applicant needs.

Qualifications:
Strong writing and editing skills.
Experience with creating engaging content preferred.
Ability to research and craft information into engaging material for our audience.
Detailed-orientated and capable of meeting deadlines.
Demonstration of solid communication skills.
Computer skills and experience using Google Docs.
Experience with graphic design is a plus, though not required.
Access to a computer will be required. Idealist will not cover computer and software and internet access.
Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
Time Commitment:
Minimum of three hours weekly until the end of May.
