Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Hospitality and Guest Relations Intern to join our team for the summer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the hospitality industry and gain practical experience in guest relations, operations, and event management.
Some responsibilities this role might include:
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, both in person and via phone or email.
- Provide recommendations and information about local attractions, restaurants, and activities to enhance guests’ experiences.
- Assist in organizing and executing special events, including weddings, corporate retreats, and private parties.
- Support the marketing team in promoting our vacation rentals through social media and other channels.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and guest satisfaction.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports as needed.
- This internship requires a commitment of 20 hours / week
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, tourism, business management or related program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays if needed.
