Metro Atlanta Chamber – Talent Events Internship
The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) mobilizes and connects the business community to drive economic development and public policies that promote sustainable growth. Summary
This paid internship offers flexible hours with no more than 25 hours per week for approximately 3 months. Gain valuable experience in events, project management, and customer service in our dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are positive, quick learners, and possess a sense of urgency.
Primary responsibilities include supporting the MAC Talent Team in managing the ATL Interns After 5 program. This series of networking events connects interns at metro Atlanta-based companies, showcasing career opportunities, community engagement, and local culture.
Work Program:
- Provide programmatic and administrative support for MAC’s ATL Interns After Five event series and other talent events and partnerships
- Field internal and external event inquiries, and direct them appropriately.
- Assist the talent team with various event-related projects, with event preparation and execution, and other daily operational task
- Manage appropriate event management platforms, including content posting, answering inquiries, and pulling information reports
- Assist with scheduling and/or staffing meetings/webinars
- This internship may occasionally require working early and late for events
Minimum Requirements:
- Recent graduates or current students encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work occasionally after 5:00 pm to manage external events.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,) internet search, etc.
- Professional oral and written communication skills
- Customer service and goal‐oriented with the ability to work in a flexible, fast‐paced environment
- Self-motivated to produce results working individually and as part of a team
