As Push Digital Group’s Graphic Design Intern, you’ll assist our Graphic Design and Production Teams with a variety of design projects. We’ll work with you to achieve your professional goals, and help you gain valuable work experience, and confidence to succeed in the professional world.
Here’s a snapshot of what you may accomplish during your time as a PDG Design Intern:
- Work with Account Executives, Creative Directors and Graphic Designers to design branded social media graphics, digital advertisements, animations, and other various design deliverables
- Attend and participate in assigned client pod meetings, brainstorm sessions, and calls
- Communicate effectively with other members of the Push Digital team in order to provide a seamless and collaborative experience
- Complete design internship project if necessary
Here are the sorts of skills and experience should you bring to a PDG Design Internship (don’t have all of these? That’s okay – we still encourage you to apply and throw your hat in the ring):
- Most importantly, we only recruit interns with a positive, can-do attitude who take a “run, not walk” approach to helping our clients and team succeed.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Film, or <1 year of related professional/intern experience
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects)
- Basic understanding of grid-based layouts
- Basic typography skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills – Push Digital Group is a fast-paced environment and the graphic design intern is responsible for handling multiple images per day
- Desire to develop and expand design and motion knowledge and skills
- Able to provide portfolio with examples of your design work
What you need to know about our internship program:
- Summer internships typically run from late-May to mid-August. Fall internships start in late-August and last through early December, and spring internships run from mid-January through early May. We accept applications year-round for all terms.
- Design Internships may be based out of our Charleston, SC headquarters, Alexandria, Virginia office, or fully remote.
- You should expect to work around 15-25 hours a week. Your manager will work with you on a specific schedule.
- These are paid internships with specific compensation dependent on location and any prior experience you may have.
- We are also happy to help you obtain school credit through your university.
