Welcome!
The Career Center in the Mungo Exchange is focused on providing student-centered professional development that includes emphasis on a four-year strategy. We enlist the participation of industry leaders, employers, faculty, and peers to deliver on our mission. The Career Center also supports its objectives through active participation in the Liberal Arts Career Network (LACN) and the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Four-Year Career Strategy
The Career Center supports students through a four-year strategy that builds on academic and co-curricular experiences to instill and sharpen the competencies needed for success. We stand as a strong example of our liberal arts education, empowering students to bridge their academic experiences with career pathways. We offer tailored programming that meets students wherever they are in their professional development.

The Career Center helps students articulate their skills, explore diverse opportunities, and connect with professional networks. It plays an essential role in turning the critical thinking and communication skills developed in our classrooms into professional success. Our advising team offers appointments for deeper conversations about majors, job and internship searches (including Interim opportunities), LinkedIn networking, and salary or interview prep. Students can also reserve a quiet room for virtual interviews and are welcome to study in our space whenever events aren’t in progress, making the Career Center a supportive hub throughout every stage of the Wofford journey.
In addition to our professional staff, our Career Center Ambassadors, trained students who bring our four-year career plan to life, complement the advising team. They visit classes and student groups, host drop-in hours that extend past 5 p.m., and make it easy for classmates to get quick resume feedback, interview tips, or guidance on anything from choosing a major to exploring internships and graduate school options—all at times that work for busy schedules.
Vision
To be a student-centered, data-driven, outcomes-oriented office integral to the Wofford experience.
Mission
To prepare every student for a lifetime of success post-graduation.

Philosophy
We structure our services around three tenets:
- Meet students where they are, providing personalized support to each of them
- Teach students skills to find and secure opportunities
- Guide students through a four-year progression in career competencies for a successful post-Wofford transition.
