Mungo Exchange Block Party
The Block Party is a staple of the first 54-day initiative of Campus Life and Student Development. The event, with food trucks, games, and a DJ, is packed with information about careers, including local employers, study abroad, community engagement, and research opportunities. The Block Party brings more than 500 students together to learn about high-impact programs offered in the Mungo Exchange.

Career Center Experience
This is a three-day professional development program for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The event, held the weekend before classes start in the fall, provides both general career advice and industry-specific information. Participants engage in workshops on resume and LinkedIn development, interview techniques, and job and internship search strategies. Students also visit local companies and attend panel sessions with more than 25 industry leaders. Wofford College alumni are integral to the success of the Career Center Experience.

Terrier Startup Challenge
The Terrier Startup Challenge is an annual pitch competition during which students develop and present their business ideas. Winners receive startup funding and guidance for launching their ideas into the world. Since its beginning, TSC has inspired innovative and high-impact student projects and experiences intended to solve pressing problems and foster an entrepreneurial mindset. The TSC student experience includes:
- 1:1 business coaching.
- Best practices for public speaking, presentation, and other communication skills.
- Refining business ideas via research, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Building collaborative relationships among competitors, mentors, peers, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Career Center Community Networking Brunch
The purpose of this event is to allow for current students to network with alums and influential individuals in the community, as they are members of both. Additionally, this event allows us to come together to celebrate our unique perspectives, build meaningful connections, and foster a community of solidarity.

Summer Internship Stipend Program
This program provides financial support for students undertaking internships during the summer. Applications for stipend awards, ranging from $1,000 to $2,500, are accepted monthly from February through May. Eligibility criteria include having a confirmed internship, demonstrating financial need, meeting specific internship requirements, and being enrolled as a student at Wofford College. The application process involves submitting a FAFSA and a signed internship contract. Students get support to intern around the world, working on complex problems and gaining valuable skills and connections.

Career Treks
Thanks to generous donor funding, the Career Center provides Career Treks at no charge to students. These treks allow students to observe company culture firsthand, connect with alumni and key staff of the companies, and develop an understanding of the processes involved in internships and full-time employment. Each event concludes with a networking event that involves alumni.

Summer City Tour
Hosted by the Career Center and Alumni Association, the first two seasons of the Summer City Tours have included stops in Spartanburg; Charlotte, North Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Columbia, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Washington, D.C.; Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; and Greenville, South Carolina. These events give incoming students, current students, alumni, families, and friends an opportunity to network and connect. Each event provides insights into different cities and opportunities across the region.

Senior Signing Day
Held each spring, this celebratory gathering is filled with music, food, free headshots, giveaways, and fun. Whether students are off to full-time employment, graduate school, a gap year experience, the military, or civic service, the Career Center uses Senior Signing Day as a time to reflect on the impact of the Wofford experience and wish graduating seniors well on their next adventure.

Aspen Summer Internship
For the past 15 years, Wofford students have been going to Aspen, Colorado, to intern with the Aspen Institute. Students, who are placed within the organization based on a competitive application and interview process, support the Aspen Ideas Festival and dozens of other local events. This opportunity was started and continues to be funded by Mike Brown ’76.
